6th Math: Students took the pretest for Test 12 over the weekend, we will review this Monday and take the test on Tuesday. Students will correcting their last test on Tuesday, and then work on lessons 83-85. We will be focusing on changing percents to decimals, since this is a common struggle for students. We will also focus on operations with fractions and decimals. We will practice these during a game,

Students will correcting their last test on Tuesday, and then work on lessons 78-80. We will focus on negative and positive numbers, and percents. These are areas that students often need more practice in. We will play games and activities to practice these skills.
8 Math: Students took the pretest for Test 12 over the weekend, we will review this Monday and take the test on Tuesday. Students will correcting their last test on Tuesday, and then work on lessons 76-78. We will be focusing on word problems that present some mystery numbers. We will be forming equations that help us figure out those mystery numbers.
7/8 Science: We will be focusing on power this week. Students will read and take notes on the section in class. Then on Tuesday and Wednesday they will preform a lab in small groups. We will then focus on ways the sun can give us power in a solar energy lab.
6 Science: Students will learn about the volcanic activity on other planets. They will have a Socratic Seminar on Tuesday, observed by Dennis Gray. They will watch a few videos and read a few articles online about outer space volcanoes. On Thursday they will review for the quiz on Friday about the past 2 sections on Volcanoes. A study guide will go home Wednesday.
5 Science: Students will be reviewing the parts of monocot and dicot seeds. The quiz will be Wednesday. They got a study guide Monday. Then we will do a lab and germinate our own seeds.
